Concavo-convex embossing is one of the most frequently used processes in post-press processing technology. Combining paper materials can cleverly improve the printing effect and make the printed picture more realistic. In order to achieve printing effects, there are many forms of embossing.
Prime Convex
Plain embossing is also known as plain embossing. According to the original English meaning, "Blind embossing" refers to the embossing process technology similar to Braille printing, that is, no embossing area uses any printing ink and hot stamping gold foil material. Graphics are left on the surface of the paper or material, creating a process effect. The plain embossing process leaves delicate, neat and clean graphics on the surface of paper and materials, giving a very unique impression.
Tong Ming convex
The engraved print means that the printed matter is specially left blank after being processed by four-color ink printing or hot stamping. After the embossing process, this area allows the design picture to be fully expressed and form a perfect combination with the graphics of other color areas of the print. There are strict requirements on process technology. Whether the stencil size is accurate and register imprinting is the key factor. With different stencil styles, Mingming can produce single-layer or multi-layer effect changes.
Convex oil painting
This is a combination of four-color printing and hot stamping such as pearl lacquer, varnish, or gold foil with some crayon effects. The relief effect embossing template is used to partially achieve convex and elegant three-dimensional effects similar to oil painting. It is called convex painting. Multiple process technologies are required to complement each other, and the graphics effects presented are delicate and accurate.
Polyconvex
Multi-convex stencils are usually laser-engraved copper plates. When the thickness, toughness, and surface tension of the paper allow it, multi-convex embossing can be made into a concave-convex integrated template. The effect of surface undulation can enhance the artistic effect of the picture. The drop at the highest point can even reach more than 3mm.
Hot bump
Selecting the appropriate material and proper heating are the two elements of heat shock. First, draw the graphic lines and make a template. When the hot pressing machine is heated to the appropriate temperature, the contact surface pressed by the template will be slightly burned. Paper, leaving marks on the surface of the paper while forming the artistic effect of line pressure and slightly convex in the middle.
Bronzing
As the name suggests, hot stamping refers to the use of the same pair of stencils. Hot stamping and bumping are completed at one time. In the terminology of hot stamping anodized aluminum, this process is called three-dimensional hot stamping. Generally, the stencil of hot stamping is made of brass material, which can improve the accuracy of stamping and bumping. In addition, the printing material must meet the physical requirements of stamping and bumping at the same time.
In graphic print design, designers often just emphasize that the bump printing part is handed over to the
packaging printing factory, and often ignore the specific requirements on quality, so that the effect cannot be perfectly presented.
