Hot stamping
Hot stamping refers to the transfer of hot stamping foil to the printing material by heating and pressing through a special metal hot stamping plate. Hot stamping requires higher-priced equipment (such as rotary hot stamping). Need heating device, and hot stamping plate, etc., printing cost is higher. But hot stamping has better color effect and print quality than cold stamping. The main performance is that the hot stamped image has good gloss, bright, smooth, clear and sharp edges. Hot stamping materials can choose different colors, different substrates, and a wider range of hot stamping foils. Computer numerical control engraving can also be used to make three-dimensional hot stamping plates for three-dimensional hot stamping, so that the graphics processed by hot stamping have obvious three-dimensional layers, and have a strong visual impact relief effect on the printed surface.
Many customers like hot stamping for their
paper packaging gift box.
Cold stamping
Cold stamping technology refers to the method of transferring hot stamping foil to the printing material by using UV adhesive. The process is to apply glue on the surface of the substrate, then cover it with a special cold foil and quickly peel off the base film. The cold foil process completes the entire process. Cold stamping process is divided into two types: dry film cold stamping and wet film cold stamping. There is no need to make a metal hot stamping plate (using a common flexible plate) and a heating device, the plate making and stamping speed is fast, the cycle is short, and the cost is lower than that of hot stamping. In terms of non-water-absorbing materials such as plastic, film, and PMC, cold stamping performs better than hot stamping. Cold stamping technology is mainly used in labels,
packaging printing, high-end business printing, etc.
Stereo hot stamping
Hot stamping and embossing are both traditional post-processing technologies, and the combination of the two is another three-dimensional stamping technology that we often see in many
printing packages box. In fact, the three-dimensional hot stamping is to use the corrosion or engraving technology to make the hot stamping and embossing graphics into a male and female mold that match up and down. Realize the process of stamping and embossing technology at one time. Because this process completes stamping and embossing at the same time, it reduces the production process and improves production efficiency.
